What Exactly Is A NASDAQ High?
  It depends what the meaning of high is... and where your money was.
 
On February 9, 2008, CNBC announced that the NASDAQ had ventured into positive territory for the year.
A relevant detail is that the NASDAQ is down approximately 3,600 points -- roughly 70%, and many people don't care how roughly -- from its all-time high.
The NASDAQ hit its all-time high on March 10, 2000. The number is 5,132.53.
Markets have the power to turn speculators and investors into long-term holders or immediate losers automatically... and without their having sanctioned the change in status.
