Obama should not
abuse his
implicit prestige
nor diminish his
potential
stature -- nor the stature of the Office
of the President of the United States -- by continuing
to operate from his juvenile insecurity.
Apparently he cannot resist coming down
to the street fighter level even when he
is opposed by civil, intellectual
adversaries. |
|
BO
should comprehend that he won both the
Office of the President and the respect that is conveyed
initially to the holder of the Office.
Instead, he berated a Republican
Congressman who offered a positive
suggestion by announcing, "I won. I am
the President. I will trump you on
that." |
|
Graciousness is
meaningful in life
-- and in
politics. BO is
validating that there is a caliber
hierarchy in America. And he is
demonstrating from where he comes. |
|
|
Separately, in
another confrontation, Obama lectured
Republicans that, "You can't just
listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things
done." |
|
During the 2007
campaign, within hours of Sarah Palin's
selection for VP, Obama was in
street-fighter mode name-calling and
running against Palin rather than
McCain. He appeared unable to resist a
street fight, even a street fight
against a woman. |
|
President BO himself
may never actually comprehend that he
won the presidency. It seems likely that
he will never stop rebutting all
varieties of arguments by reminding his
adversaries -- and himself -- that he
won. |
|
He can't believe it
himself. |
|
The question is, will
he be able to take on the world's
genuine street fighters. Those maniacs
that run the enemies of peace and
progress, including Russia's Putin and
Iran's fanatics. |
